During our lifetime we all experience transitions; times when we journey from one stage to another. These transitions range from chronic illnesses to unexpected health concerns to the normal processes of aging. Geriatric Care Managers can help guide families through these transitions.
We are the South Central Chapter of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers. Members conduct their practices within the States of Arkansas, Louisiana,Oklahoma, and Texas.
Members
of the association are private practitioners whose purpose is the development, advancement and promotion of humane and dignified social, psychological, and health care for the elderly and their families. The association is committed to working towards the highest quality of care for the elderly and their families through education, advocacy, and high standards of practice.
From birth we go through many stages in our lives. These stages include childhood, adulthood, and elder years. It is in our adult years that we experience many obstacles from raising children to taking care of our elderly parents. Geriatric Care Managers can assist during this time by guiding families to referrals, prioritizing their needs, and providing solutions for those needs.
